Wingham Farmers’ Market now in its 18th year!!!

Wingham, the Fresh and Friendly market

Over eighteen years ago a group of locals gathered to support the Wingham Showground, a few months later the outcome was the birth of the Wingham Farmers’ Market.  Lyn Booth coordinated the first Farmers’ Market in Wingham and says ‘it shows there is a demand for fresh local produce’.  Lyn was supported in her role by Chris Ryan (who was) the Economic Development Manager for Greater Taree City Council.  Jane Coulduck then took over and injected energy and enthusiasm into the coordination for a number of years.

The Wingham Farmers’ Market is now coordinated by local community members and would be keen for those interested in their local community to join us on the committee.

Wingham Farmers’ Market has been a social, vibrant and dynamic environment for Manning Valley locals and growers over the last eighteen years and we look forward to another successful eighteen years.
